TRAINING ARC 0.8.1
Quite a bit has changed since the last notes (0.5.0). The highlights:
New
- Chi Counter: enemies who throw things can now get it right back. When the hexagon around you turns solid, press Y (K on keyboard). Throwers show up from zone 3, and the game shows you how the first time.
- New Titans: Old Moonshell, The Understudy and The Eraser King.
- A new story for zones 1–5: it's a TV pilot now, and Farmer Hank really wants his close-up.
- New stages for Barnacle Bay (zones 15–17) and Hexwood Academy (zones 18–20).
- Sparring Dummy: a Chi Counter drill, once you've met your first thrower.
- Picture Polish: a softer, glowier look, with a toggle in Settings.
Changed
- The climb takes longer, on purpose: reaching zone 20 is meant to take weeks of play, not an afternoon.
- The B counter has a clearer closing circle and a slightly bigger window.
- Zones 1–2 are B counters only, so you learn one thing at a time.
- Fishing and loot were rebalanced along the way, and a few names got friendlier (hello, Season Finale).
Fixed
- The Gearborn's Rocket Punch no longer freezes you.
- Throw moves really throw now.
- Switching to a new fighter no longer drops you into a TV channel break.
Heads up: combat is on the easy side for now. A combat rework is coming soon; this build gives you an idea of where things are going.
That's it for now. Thanks for sticking around 🙂
